Our Story

It all started when...

our friends started to get engaged, we began to gift them wedding planning books to keep their big Indian wedding organized. We noticed none of the planners out there catered to the complexity of a south Asian wedding, and being 2018  we decided something needed to be done.

A little about us...

We’re Amarinder and Harmeet, co-founders of Party Rickshaw. We are two Bollywood-movie-watching, bhangra-dancing cousins who grew up on the same street together in Mississauga. As kids we loved to choreograph dances to the soundtracks of our favourite Bollywood movies, organize Wimbledon tournaments on our driveways and perform Disney musicals for our families.

Amarinder went on to study fashion design from Parsons and received her MBA from LUC in Chicago. Harmeet studied to become a registered massage therapist and an actor - you can see her performing in local theater and as an improviser at Second City Toronto. Together we are Party Rickshaw, and we cannot wait to help brides plan and organize their weddings one Dulhan Diary at a time!
